
Facilities and Logistics Manager

- To lead a small team to deliver first-class facilities and Logistics support for International Govt (VIG) in the APAC region
- To manage the efficient day to day operations of the Auburn office with respect to facilities, logistics and warehouse management
- To oversee the maintenance and operation of the facility under guidance from the Global Facilities team, ensuring the facility is functioning optimally and safely in alignment with corporate policies as well as government regulations.
- To anticipate the needs of the business, managing multiple priorities in a proactive, resilient and energetic manner.
- To develop all required processes and procedures and maintain them there after

- To have outstanding interpersonal skills with a high degree of discretion and cultural sensitivity for co-ordinating customer shipments and supporting the local staff
- Strategical planning and management of logistics, the warehouse, transportation/shipping
- and export compliance
- Direct, optimize and coordinate logistics cycle
- Liaise and negotiate with trades and service providers
- Management of stock quality inspections, stock levels, delivery times, transport costs and
- delivery efficiency
- Arrange warehouse, catalogue goods, plan delivery routes and process shipments
- Supervise, coach and train warehouse workforce
- Management and supervision of the external maintenance and cleaning staff
- Ensuring compliance with security and safety regulations
- Managing renovations, refurbishments as laid out in the Global Facilities annual budget or upgrades
- Work closely with the Landlord to ensure the building is as energy efficient as it can be
- Managing the facility budget and accounts, taking equipment audits
- Coordinating the implementation of new building projects with the Director of Capital Projects
- Meet cost, productivity, accuracy and timeliness targets Resolve any arising problems or complaints
- Maintain metrics and analyse data to assess performance and implement improvements
- Provide Logistics and export support to the other regions as required
- Conduct and document local risk assessments and ensure the mitigation activities are being adhered to, ensuring people remain safe
- Respond to facility alarms and emergencies as required
- Comply with laws, regulations and ISO requirements
- Act as local representative for HSE, providing local knowledge and expertise for the Global Operations Compliance Manager
- Proven working experience as a Logistics and Facilities Manager
- Record of successful distribution and logistics management inc. export controls
- Demonstratable ability to lead and manage staff
- Hold, or be prepared to train to obtain a forklift license
- Excellent analytical, problem solving and organisational skills
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Experience in maintaining ISO accreditations
- Experience with SAP S/4HANA is desirable
- First aid training is desirable
- This is an onsite role and hence the candidate must have their own means of transport to and from the office
- Must be an Australian citizen and either hold or be eligible to apply for an Australian Government Security Clearance
