We're seeking an experienced Finance Manager for a short-term contract role to lead the financial operations of a dynamic and mission-focused organisation.About the Role
As Finance Manager, you’ll be a key member of the finance leadership team, ensuring sound financial stewardship and the provision of timely, insightful financial information to support strategic decision-making. You'll drive operational excellence across reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and compliance, while overseeing payroll and financial systems.This is a hands-on role involving leadership of a small finance team, supporting executive and operational teams, and ensuring the organisation’s continued financial sustainability.Key Responsibilities
- Lead financial reporting including P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, and reconciliations
- Maintain and optimise finance systems (ERP: MYOB; Payroll: HR3)
- Drive continuous process improvement and transaction efficiency
- Oversee compliance with statutory and regulatory obligations including GST, FBT, PAYG, superannuation
- Coordinate the annual audit and statutory accounts preparation
- Lead and support payroll and accounting staff, fostering growth and high performance
- Partner with internal stakeholders across various departments to support their financial literacy and accountability
- CA/CPA qualified with strong technical accounting experience
- Skilled team leader and collaborator
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Strong understanding of NFP financial compliance
- Highly proficient in Excel and financial systems
- Sound knowledge of payroll processes
- Analytical, organised, and solutions-focused
