About UsJemena is an Australian energy company who owns and operates over $12.4 Billion worth of gas and electricity transportation assets across Australia supplying millions of households and businesses with essential services every day.About the RoleWe're looking for a strategic and collaborative leader to join our Health & Safety team as Manager, H&S Strategy, Risk and Systems. This role is key to shaping the future of health and safety across the business, ensuring our systems, risk frameworks, and strategic initiatives are aligned and effective.You'll be responsible for overseeing enterprise-wide health and safety risk, supporting business units in managing their operational risks, and ensuring these efforts aggregate into a cohesive and mature risk profile. You'll also lead the development and continuous improvement of our HSE management system-both in structure and digital application-ensuring it remains user-friendly, certified, and fit for purpose.A key focus will be supporting the uplift of our digital platform (Protecht), helping to embed structured risk management practices across the business. You'll also play a role in monitoring the execution of our H&S strategy, identifying future priorities, and benchmarking best practices from across the industry.About YouYou're a health and safety professional with a strong foundation in risk management, assurance, and HSE systems. You bring a structured, analytical mindset and can quickly get to the heart of complex issues. You're also a people-focused leader-approachable, collaborative, and able to foster trust and stability within a well-established team.You'll thrive in this role if you have:
  • Significant experience in a senior H&S role within utilities, infrastructure, services, or a similar industry.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading cultural change and implementing user focussed H&S systems.
  • Strong knowledge of risk-based H&S systems, assurance programs, and critical risk management.
  • Proven ability to engage and influence a wide range of stakeholders, from senior leaders to field workers.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Health & Safety, Environment, or a related field (preferred).
  • Additional qualifications in Risk Management, Project Management, or Change Management (desirable).
  • A solid understanding of Australian HSE legislative frameworks.
