- Process barge bookings and prepare manifests maximising space allocations for any barge operating to and from Hamilton Island
- Manage phone and website enquiries – operations, general freight and barge bookings
- Follow processes for internal and external general freight movements to and from Hamilton Island
- Complete required administration duties for documenting all general freight received and delivered
- Prepare accurate documents for end of month reconciliation for barge and general freight operations
- Maintain a safe work environment and comply with all WHS and company policies and procedures
- Ensure safe handling, including Dangerous Goods compliance of freight is upheld
- Maintain a high level of professional customer service to both internal and external clients
- Effective communication across the division encompassing all personnel within the Logistics and barge operations at Hamilton Island and Shute Harbour warehouses
- Assist with warehouse distribution where requested by the Purchasing & Admin Manager
- Perform any additional tasks related to this position as requested by the Purchasing & Admin Manager and/or General Manager
- Assist with In house procedure and system development as requested by the Purchasing & Admin Manager and/or General Manager
- School certificate or equivalent (Desireable)
- Qld open / unrestricted driver’s licence (Desireable)
- Experience in administrative / coordination in the logistics / warehouse / transport environments (Desirable)
