ABOUT THE ROLEThis is a Permanent position on a 7:7 roster, rotating day / night shift, FIFO from Darwin or Cairns.As the Mining Supervisor, you will be responsible for providing supervision and leadership of the ancillary/dozer mining crews to safely execute the daily and weekly plan.Other key responsibilities include, but aren't limited to:
  • Execute work safely according to 24-hour and weekly plans.
  • Provide leadership through workplace interactions and ensure adherence to procedures.
  • Manage people processes, including leave, performance, and disciplinary actions.
  • Collaborate with maintenance and support services to drive safety and operational efficiency
  • Supervising drill & blast activities, pump crew and general ancillary operations
ABOUT YOUYou will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:
  • Strong mining industry experience with knowledge of open cut methods and legislation.
  • Proven ability to select, develop, and mentor employees for enhanced engagement and diversity.
  • Positive role model and supportive leader, effectively supervising large teams.
  • Understanding safety, health, and risk management frameworks, with an improvement mindset.
  • Prior experience in pumps operations and strategies highly regarded
Qualifications for this position are:
  • Mining Supervisor competency G1, G8, G9 (or willing to obtain)
  • G2 Risk Management - highly desirable
  • Current manual drivers licence
