We're seeking proactive and ambitious Category Assistants to join a leading Australian health, beauty, and wellness organisation. These are temporary/contract opportunities ranging from an initial 5 weeks to 3 months, with the potential for permanency for outstanding candidates.About the Role
We have several opportunities available:
  • 2 x PMR Category Assistants - focused on the rollout of a new promotional forecasting tool. You'll support categories through analysis, reporting, and operational management, gaining exposure to FMCG retail practices. (Contracts up to 3 months, potential for permanency for top performers.)
  • Beauty & Atomica Project Category Assistants - supporting established and emerging categories, contributing to analysis, planning, and operational execution across health, beauty, and wellness products, including FMCG ranges. (Contracts from 5 weeks.)
About the OpportunityWorking alongside experienced Category Managers, you'll help ensure smooth daily operations, analyse sales and customer data, and support category strategy. These roles provide hands-on experience in FMCG and retail environments, exposure to fast-moving categories, and the opportunity to contribute to high-impact projects, including new system rollouts and promotional initiatives.About You
  • Foundational knowledge of Category or Inventory Management in FMCG or retail.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and communicate insights.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Proactive, adaptable, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, changing environment.
  • Advanced Excel and Microsoft Office proficiency.
  • Previous experience in Category Assistant, Buyer's Assistant, or FMCG support roles highly desirable.
