Where you'll be workingThis role is based at a part of the Western NSW Local Health District.The facility is a Level 4, 120 bed acute hospital that services a rapidly growing catchment population, and is currently undergoing a to bring new and expanded services into the region.Bathurst Hospital staff, clinicians and the Western NSW Local Health District have provided valuable input to the project team which has helped inform the planning and design and will continue to provide input as the facility is built and refurbished. This is a great opportunity to be involved at the ground level in the redevelopment and service design of this project.Bathurst provides allied health, ambulatory care, coronary care, emergency medicine (26,000 presentations a year), intensive care, general medicine, mental health drug & alcohol, obstetrics & gynaecology, oncology, paediatrics, pathology, radiology, rehabilitation and surgery services. The service also has active hospital in the home and primary community health services to the surrounding townships.Bathurst Health Service has a strong partnership with the University of Western Sydney and Charles Sturt University, conducting research and providing training opportunities for medical students. The facility has a strong partnerships with several other Universities, providing student clinical placements, education and patient referral opportunities.A comfortable and scenic 2.5 hour drive from Sydney, is Australia's oldest inland colonial settlement and is close enough to feel accessible to the big city, and far enough away to feel relaxed & spacious. Eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia as a Specialist, and/or overseas trained specialist via the appropriate International Medical Graduate pathway.2. Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team and provide leadership of a team.3. Proven ability to communicate effectively through the use of information technology and written, verbal and interpersonal skills.4. Demonstrated commitment to teaching, continuing education, research and quality improvement.5.
