- Investigate incidents and monitor implementation of corrective actions
- Monitor compliance with Safety and also Environment policy, procedures and legislative requirements
- Conduct regular inspections and audits
- Conduct or facilitate Safety educational programs
- Assist with reporting requirements as required
- Ensure a current understanding of all relevant legislation is maintained at all times
- Assist with the development and maintenance of a safety culture
- Work with staff, workers and subcontractors in the processes, skills, attitudes and behaviours required to foster a positive safety culture
- Monitor compliance with company policies and procedures
- Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety.
- 3-5 years HSE experience working in a construction environment for a main contractor.
- Experience in qualitative risk assessment and development and monitoring of risk controls.
- Skill in conducting and interpreting audits and reviews.
- Experience delivering training in high-risk activities such as working at heights, confined space and rescue training.
- Valid driver's license.
- Experience in developing, analysing and reporting on complex project performance, compliance and defects and/or non-conformance.
- Knowledge of Safety legislation and statutes and ability to interpret any applicable statutes or legislation relevant to Project.
- PERTH BASED WITH FULL AUSTRALIAN WORKING RIGHTS
- Up to $150,000 base salary (dependent on candidate experience).
