Access theYour new role:We are seeking a dedicated Medical Records Administrative Officer to provide high-quality administrative and systems support in the management of confidential patient medical records. In this role, you will contribute to smooth patient flow and ensure critical information is available to clinical teams when needed.Key responsibilities include:
- Creating, retrieving, tracking, and maintaining electronic and physical patient medical records.
- Supporting clinical units with medical record requirements and assisting staff with electronic record systems.
- Administering release of information in line with legislation, policy, and privacy requirements.
- Performing administrative duties to support efficient daily operation of the medical records department.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in managing patient information.
- Proficiency with computerised information systems (Microsoft Word, Excel) and office equipment.
- Knowledge of, or the ability to quickly acquire, medical terminology to interpret patient information.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to deliver high-quality service.
- Ability to prioritise and manage workload in a fast-paced healthcare setting.
