- Make a meaningful difference to the lives of Australians in need
- Manage the recruitment function for over 300 volunteers during October.
- Confirm volunteer requirements including numbers and position descriptions.
- Manage the nomination and selection process, confirming all volunteers and advising those unsuccessful.
- Use volunteer recruitment platform to manage the volunteer recruitment and management process.
- Support production of the volunteer newsletter to communicate and update all volunteers.
- Coordinate content to two compulsory inductions training days and host the volunteer briefing.
- On Christmas Day coordinate and check the volunteers into the event, supervising contractors and supplies on site.
- Promote the program and recognise the contribution of volunteers.
- Promote Mission Australia volunteering and fundraising brand internally and externally as appropriate.
- Administration as required and additional tasks set by the Events Manager.
- Must be able to work all of Christmas Day 2025.
- Relevant experience in large scale recruitment and ideally management of volunteers.
- Had previous exposure to Christmas Lunch In The Park is desirable.
- Strong administration, coordination and compliance skills.
- Confident computer literacy and comfortable leaning news software systems.
- Ideally a sound knowledge of the Community Services or not for profit sector.
- Incredible organisational and time-management skills.
- Excellent communication, strong problem-solving skills, and strategic thinking ability.
- First Aid and CPR certification strongly desired.
- Full driver licence with no restrictions.
