The Opportunity
This is a career-defining contract opportunity for a finance professional who thrives in complexity, scale, and transformation. You’ll play a pivotal role in uplifting financial management maturity across a $40B+ infrastructure portfolio and $1.7B+ annual capital works program.
Working at the heart of a major business transformation program, you’ll partner with executives and project teams to design and embed improved financial frameworks, deliver actionable insights, and directly influence strategic decision-making. Importantly, this role is project-focusedKey Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and implementation of enhanced financial management frameworks, tools, and processes
  • Provide expert advice on budgeting, forecasting, asset capitalisation, and financial reporting
  • Analyse financial data and deliver insights to support strategic decision-making
  • Prepare project deliverables including business cases, process maps, and performance reports
  • Partner with executives, project managers, and cross-functional teams to uplift financial capability and governance
  • Facilitate workshops, build capability, and support change adoption across the division
About You
We are seeking a hands-on, detail-oriented professional who thrives in low-maturity or high-growth environments and is confident engaging with executives on strategic finance transformation.
You bring:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or related (CPA/CA desirable)
  • Significant experience in financial management within an asset-heavy or infrastructure industry
  • Strong working knowledge of AASB in an asset management context
  • Proven experience driving finance transformation, continuous improvement, or large-scale uplift projects
  • Proficiency with financial systems, ERP, Excel and Power BI
  • Ability to cut through complexity, identify improvements, and deliver practical outcomes
