
Senior Project Manager, Hardware R&D

- Lead Opportunity Capture & Proposal Development - Coordinate competitive responses to funding opportunities, including task assignments, documentation, partner engagement, and submission.
- Drive Project Execution - Oversee milestones, deliverables, and reporting for both internally driven and externally funded initiatives.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration and Stakeholder Management - Build strong working relationships with teams worldwide, translating between technical and non-technical stakeholders with clarity and confidence.
- Financial Planning & Tracking - Partner with Operations and Finance to ensure accurate budgets, forecasts, and expenditure reporting.
- Risk & Issue Management - Apply PMO best practices to anticipate, assess, and mitigate risks throughout the project lifecycle.
- Other duties within the Employee's skills and experience, or with reasonable training.
- PMO experience in a project or program management role.
- Track record of managing complex, multi-stakeholder projects in engineering, research, or technology environments.
- Experience managing projects in hardware R&D environments.
- Strong background in responding to grants, proposals, tenders, or other external funding opportunities.
- Experience in financial management for funded projects such as creating budgets, tracking procurement, and monitoring burn.
- Excellent communication skills-able to translate complex technical concepts into pithy, compelling narratives for both internal and external audience and many formats (I.e. oral presentations, slides, reports)
- Demonstrated ability to balance strategic priorities with operational detail.
- Experience working with global, multidisciplinary teams.
- Degree in science, engineering, or a related field (or equivalent industry experience).
- Working knowledge of the global export control environment.
- PMP certification.
