Guided by compassion and professional excellence, the School Nurse provides prompt medical care, manages chronic conditions, and ensures the safe administration of medication – all while upholding the school’s commitment to nurturing each child as a unique creation of God.Selection CriteriaApplicants should:
  • Have an active Christian faith and regularly attend a Christian Church.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to the Vision, Mission and Values of WCCS, including the
. * Hold a Bachelor of Nursing degree (or equivalent qualification).
  • Hold a current registration with AHPRA (Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency).
  • Demonstrate strong clinical experience in patient assessment, treatment, and ongoing care.
  • Possess a valid Working with Children Check (or be willing to obtain one).
  • Demonstrate excellent organisational skills, with the ability to remain calm, efficient, and methodical in a dynamic environment.
  • Have the ability to uphold quality, safety, and infection control procedures in line with regulatory standards.
  • Demonstrate a positive and proactive attitude, with the capacity to show empathy, work independently, and manage multiple tasks under pressure with resilience and adaptability.
  • Have high attention to detail, with a commitment to accuracy in documentation and procedures.
  • Demonstrate outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively and communicate clearly.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and be open to adopting new technologies.
