6 Month - Labour Hire contractFederal Government DepartmentOpportunity for a Senior Communications Officer to support the establishment of a new standalone agency within the Australian Government.These roles will play a pivotal part in developing and delivering high-quality content for the agency’s new website and intranet, as well as building the frameworks that will underpin its ongoing communications.Key responsibilities
- Develop, edit and maintain digital content to support the agency’s online presence.
- Produce and copy-edit technical documentation including organisational strategies, policies, standard operating procedures, governance frameworks, and editorial guidelines.
- Ensure content meets Australian Government communication standards, including accessibility and readability requirements.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts and stakeholders to ensure accuracy, clarity and consistency across communications.
- Support the development of governance and editorial functions to underpin ongoing digital content management.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective stakeholder relationships.
- Proven organisational skills, including the ability to manage competing priorities, deliver work plans, and meet deadlines.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work independently to a defined schedule.
- A sound understanding of Australian Government communication standards, including accessibility guidelines.
