You’ll be working with a well-established Australian company with over 60 years of experience delivering specialist contracting services across dredging, steel fabrication, civil construction, and more. With a strong reputation for innovation and quality, they operate advanced facilities and equipment to support complex and custom project delivery.Must-Have Experience:
- 1–2 years' experience in a manufacturing, custom fabrication, or engineering-support environment
- Strong exposure to production scheduling, materials coordination, and supplier follow-up
- Experience with ERP systems such as Pronto, SAP B1, or MYOB Advanced
- Familiarity with job tracking, budgeting, and managing critical path timelines
- Comfortable working closely with shopfloor teams and translating between planning and production
- Scheduling ownership – managing 15–30 concurrent jobs, from standard kits to custom one-off builds
- Material flow coordination – ensuring parts arrive on time, fast-tracking urgent items, and liaising with suppliers such as laser cutters, painters, and machine shops
- Cost and hours tracking – using ERP systems or Excel dashboards to flag potential overruns early
- Supplier and stakeholder communication – proactive follow-ups, expectation management, and escalating blockers when needed
- Shopfloor awareness – regularly engaging with the Assembly Manager to monitor progress and re-sequence tasks as required
- Proactive and organised – always looking ahead to avoid bottlenecks
- Calm under pressure – able to chase parts and solve problems without creating friction
- Clear communicator – confident working across teams and with external stakeholders
- Technically curious – understands the "why" behind delays and how things are built
- Team-oriented – supports both production teams and wider business goals
- Someone who’s already been “the person who keeps things moving”, even without the title.
- A hands-on tradesperson (fitter, fabricator, machinist, or technician) ready to step up.
- A team leader managing production and coordinating with purchasing or dispatch.
- A supply chain or logistics pro who gets lead times and critical path constraints.
- A site or production coordinator used to juggling people, parts, and timelines.
