- Bachelor's degree in engineering, Science, Building Construction or equivalent
- White Card
- Minimum 10 year of experience working in the construction industry
- Project Engineer and operational experience
- A strong understanding of structural and/or geotechnical engineering
- Knowledge of project management structure, plans, specification, standards and implications for project accountabilities
- Experience working with Project Design Management Plans, Quality Management Plans, Safety Management Plans and Environmental Management Plans
- Experience in managing design activities to program and budget specifications
- Pre-contracts knowledge in relation to design, planning and legislative requirements
- Strong written, verbal and presentation skills
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and manage interactions with local, state, and federal authorities for permits and approvals
- Collaborate with workforce representatives and unions to maintain positive industrial relations and resolve issues proactively
- Oversee the implementation of environmental protection measures related to Temporary Works, ensuring compliance with environmental standards and minimizing ecological impact
- Plan and control the delivery of Temporary Works Design to ensure the achievement of quality, completion and project objectives
- Coordinate and liaise with respective construction teams to develop Temporary Works Design solutions to facilitate the construction of the Permanent Works
- Actively participate in developing cost optimised and constructable Temporary Works Solutions
- Manage the design approval process by coordinating issue resolution
- Ensure compliance of Temporary Works with safety requirements
- Management of Temporary Works package register, drawings and package numbers, revision control
- Manage Temporary Works design consultants allocated to the project to ensure that their progress meets requirements
- Undertake quantitative and qualitative safety, environment and quality risk assessments to ensure the acceptable quality of structures and finishes
- Validation of temporary works conducted on site
- Document and record management
- Demonstrate sound people management skills by managing work and performance of subcontractors to achieve outcomes.
