
First Class Machinist - Field Service

- Operating line boring equipment and ID welders (Hoffman and Triangle).
- Interpreting engineering drawings and dimensional tolerances.
- Utilising computer literacy skills.
- Maintaining a strong focus on safety.
- Striving for customer satisfaction.
- Collaborating with the workshop manager and other tradespeople to enhance quality and efficiency.
- Week one: Monday to Thursday
- Week two: Tuesday to Friday
- Combination of day and night shifts
- Hourly rates starting from $58+
- Overtime rates starting from $87+
The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a strong commitment to safety, and a proven track record in the heavy equipment industry. Reliability, hard work, and a thorough understanding of onsite safety responsibilities are essential. Additionally, the candidate should have:
- Australian recognised mechanical or fabrication trade
- MR Driver's License (desirable) or the ability to obtain one.
- Familiarity with Caterpillar equipment (highly regarded).
- Ability to maintain high standards of work with minimal supervision.
- Consistent delivery of high-quality work within set time frames.
- A positive “can-do” attitude with the initiative to problem-solve on the job.
