If so, this opportunity can be for you.The AFP is looking for talented and qualified Learning & Development Advisors to contribute to the delivery of learning programs and activities across the agency.AFP 's Learning and Development Command drives the AFP to acquire knowledge, develop skills and create a learning culture that helps the AFP thrive and outsmart serious crime. The AFP is a Registered Training Organization (RTO) certified by the Australian Skills Quality Authority to provide nationally recognized qualifications. The AFP delivers a range of Vocational Education and Training programs using contemporary delivery methods such as blended learning, e-learning and immersive simulated environments.You will be required to contribute to the achievement of outcomes in accordance with the regulatory framework, the AFP Code of Conduct and the AFP Governance Instruments. It is expected that the successful applicant will deliver on the core responsibilities and meet any requirements of the position as outlined below.This position is based in Canberra and cannot be performed remotely.What will you do?Under the direction of senior team members, this role will be responsible for delivering outcomes related to the AFP's learning culture, including providing advice on the development of learning packages for AFP work areas utilising contemporary adult learning principles across a variety of learning platforms.This includes, but is not limited to tasks related to:Band 4Administration and data entryContributing to the development of instructional material such as policies, procedures and processesAssisting with projects and associated financial activitiesProviding support for learning resource development, RTO assurance activities and online learning deliverablesContributing to the SAP Learning Solution including administration, analysis, quality assurance, reporting and continuous improvementOrganizing workshops, training sessions, meetings and performing secretariat functionsProviding excellent client service advice and building collaborative relationshipsMaintaining contemporary skills and knowledgeBand 5Contributing to the development of instructional material such as policies, procedures and processesManaging projects and associated financial activitiesCollaborating innovatively with a diverse range of AFP subject matter experts, engaging in and facilitating workshops, ideation sessions and evaluating concepts to provide training solutions that follow adult learning principlesManaging RTO assurance activities including gap analysis', validation, moderation, evaluation and continuous improvementManaging and coordinating the SAP Learning Solution including administration, analysis, quality assurance, reporting and continuous improvementManaging tasks to enhance online learning and immersive simulated environments deliverablesProviding advice and assistance to inform the development of training, assessment and associated resourcesProviding advice, assistance and facilitating workshops and train the trainer sessions to proactively drive the ongoing development of AFP trainers and assessorsLiaising with clients and building collaborative relationshipsChampioning and implementing contemporary learning techniques to enhance skill development and knowledge across a wide range of learning platformsOther tasks as required.Essential Requirements
  • A Negative Vetting 1 (Secret) security clearance or the ability to obtain one.
  • Has contemporary knowledge and experience relevant to the role.
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or the ability to complete the qualification.
  • Possess highly developed analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to proactively encourage and seek more efficient outcomes.
  • Strong organization and time management skills, the ability to successfully complete several tasks concurrently, maintain high levels of attention to detail, maintain documentation and record keeping and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels.
  • Well-developed computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, as well as an understanding and experience in the use of databases and/or Learning Management Systems (LMS).
Desirable RequirementsThe following skills and/or experience would be highly regarded:
  • Tertiary qualifications in relevant field.
  • Demonstrated experience in coordinating learning and development activities using a variety of mediums and technologies.
