- Manage and coordinate activities within your assigned kitchen section
- Ensure efficient workflow and seamless coordination with other kitchen areas
- Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to food safety and hygiene standards
- Prepare and cook dishes according to our menu specifications and quality standards
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, including apprentices and commis chefs
- Assist in menu development and implementation of new food concepts
- Participate in live cooking demonstrations and interact with customers when required
- Collaborate with the sous chef and head chef to maintain kitchen efficiency
- Monitor and control food waste, stock levels, and kitchen resources
- Adapt quickly to changing priorities during busy service periods.
- Completed culinary training or apprenticeship
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role
- Proven track record of excellence in food preparation and presentation
- Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
- Passion for international cuisine and new food concepts
- Experience in live cooking and customer interaction
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Creativity and willingness to contribute to menu development
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy items when necessary.
