OnsiteWe are seeking a motivated Mechanical Supervisor, to lead our team of fitters based at Beresfield.You will be responsible for managing the team to rebuild Weir products in an efficient, effective and safe manner both at the service centre and on site for shutdowns as required.The role also involves estimating, quoting, planning and executing workshop jobs and shutdown schedules to meet customer and company deliverables.Why choose Weir:

We believe in fairness and choose to be honest, transparent and authentic in everything we do.Key Responsibilities:Supervise the team of fitters to strip, inspect, repair and report on customer equipment, as well as day-to-day tasks such as pre-start meetings and mid/end shift toolbox talks.Train and mentor the team to ensure they work in accordance with workshop & site procedures.Complete quotations for all customer activities and accurately process and invoice service orders in SAPCarry out and complete site work within budget and time expectations.Plan all service work including monitoring labour resources, materials planning, job planning and allocation and contractor managementSafety First: Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviors in support of our drive towards developing a world class safety culture.Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications:Trade certificate in mechanical fittingProven experience leading a team including coaching, and providing technical support, disciplinary requirementsAbility to plan and organize workloads as requiredHigh-risk forklift ticket, dogging / rigging highly desirableAttention to detail and a strong focus on safetyCurrent manual drivers license requiredFounded in 1871, Weir is a world leading engineering business with a purpose to make mining operations smarter, more efficient and sustainable.
