- Salary Classification: Staff Specialist Level 1 - Level 5 (Level election optional). Level 1 range from $262,376 - $323,777 pa (Pro rata) plus superannuation and salary packaging. Click here for further information
- You will provide specialist consultation within your field, including provision of outpatient services.
- Provide clinical leadership to junior colleagues by ensuring a high standard of patient care which conforms to best practice and is evidence based.
- Primary Medical Degree registrable with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP), with recognised qualifications in Gastroenterology and/or other equivalent specialist recognition as provided for in the NSW (Non-Declared) AHO Staff Specialist Agreement or the Health Insurance Act 1973.
- Demonstrated current gastroenterology (including endoscopy) clinical practice of a high standard, with ability to adapt clinical practice in accordance with contemporary evidence based best practice.
- Demonstrated capacity for clinical leadership, a commitment to undergraduate and post-graduate teaching in medicine, nursing and allied health and willingness to participate in clinical research.
- Understanding of the principles of clinical governance to promote quality and safety in health care, with experience in and commitment to evidence based best practice.
- A demonstrated understanding of transfer of care and patient flow principles and ability to practice these principles to meet the needs of the community and hospital.
- Demonstrated oral, written and interpersonal communication skills, and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team, and proficiently in periods of high demand/activity
