- Provide expert advice and deliver rigorous procurement processes, ensuring compliance with Origin directives and procedures, including strategic sourcing and market intelligence.
- Proactively lead the delivery of sourcing activities in line with category plans and business requirements, maintaining accurate information in management systems.
- Build strong relationships with key business stakeholders and suppliers to inform contracting strategies and understand market insights.
- Lead and define requirements for supplier negotiations, extracting maximum value and minimising commercial risk through well-drafted contractual agreements.
- Ensure visibility of procurement requirements for coordinated delivery, leveraging opportunities and eliminating duplicated effort across Asset Services.
- Support Contract Owners with post-award escalations, disputes, and complex contract variations.
- Focus on planning to improve performance, identify and quantify value levers, and deliver on annual value targets through ethical procurement practices.
- Actively promote and ensure compliance with all HSE policies and procedures, driving optimal HSE performance in supplier selection and management
- Demonstrated experience in strategic sourcing and procurement, ideally within corporate, technology, or operational/asset services categories in complex or regulated industries (energy, utilities, resources, or manufacturing preferred).
- Strong understanding of market dynamics, cost drivers, and supplier economics to drive value-focused sourcing strategies and sound commercial decisions.
- Expertise in designing and executing strategic sourcing, coupled with strong analytical skills to assess complex data, market trends, and risk.
- Exceptional ability to engage stakeholders, build trusted relationships with internal teams and external suppliers, and manage supplier performance effectively.
- Proven ability to identify issues, assess risks, and develop practical solutions in dynamic environments.
- Familiarity with contract structures and terms, with the ability to identify commercial risks, alongside strong project management skills to deliver multiple sourcing events.
- Meticulous attention to detail in documentation, contract terms, and compliance with procurement processes.
- An undergraduate degree in Commerce, Economics, Accounting, Law, Engineering, Business, or a similar relevant discipline is mandatory.
