It has over 800 employees with employees residing in the beautiful Mudgee area, with all the facilities for a fantastic family lifestyle.Job Tasks and ResponsibilitiesJoin our growing team as we build new pathways to support our Operation with this exciting, freshly minted role! Based on site at Moolarben Coal Operations and reporting to the Environment and Community Manager, you will be a part of a dynamic and motivated team. This unique and challenging position provides the opportunity to learn and partner with a variety of internal and external stakeholders. The position will coordinate and support current and future expansion projects.Key responsibilities include:
  • Assist with the preparation of environmental studies and projects, including data collation, information review and document control;
  • Coordinate a variety of environmental fieldworks;
  • Contribute to internal and external regulatory reporting;
  • Assist with environment related training and development across the complex;
  • Employ your excellent interpersonal skills when liaising with internal and external stakeholders and co-ordinating works;
  • Manage contractors and consultants from scope preparation to project completion; and
  • Prepare and review technical environmental reports.
Skills and ExperienceThe successful candidate will have the following skills and attributes:
  • Tertiary qualifications in Environmental Science, Engineering or equivalent.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Excellent attention to detail and time management skills;
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills to work within a team environment.
  • Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with all stakeholders;
  • Relevant experience in the mining industry is desirable.
