Job Description:The CompanyRobert Half is currently recruiting for an experienced Financial Accountant to join a market leading organisation with a strong reputation in their industry.As the Financial Accountant, you will work closely with the Group Financial Controller to ensure all internal and external requirements for financial reporting are delivered efficiently and effectively.Based in North Melbourne and easily accessible by Public Transport, this position is offered as a temporary to permanent contract with an immediate start required.The RoleReporting to the Financial Controller, your responsibilities will include:

Preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting
Preparation of monthly balance sheet reconciliations
Preparation of BAS, income tax returns, FBT, payroll tax
Assist with audits and liaising with external auditors & tax agents.
Assist in the preparation and lodgement of the Annual Statutory Financial Statements
Seek continuous improvement of financial accounting processes.

Your Skills & Experience

Ideally CA/CPA qualified or very close to completion.
Be able to demonstrate a process improvement mindset.
Possess an ability to work with tight deadlines.
Ability to take initiative and work independently.
