- Contribute to the delivery of the national learning & development agenda by leading or supporting development initiatives to build capabilities for legal staff (face-to-face learning, online learning, or on-the-job coaching and mentoring). In particular, you will:
- Manage the delivery of the annual Graduate Academy and Graduate Orientation programs.
- Contribute to the delivery of the Legal Excellence Program, working with SMEs to deliver technical development for junior lawyers.
- Design and implement annual professional development training for associates, including the national Associate Development Program.
- Adopt a business partnering role to support key practice groups with L&D initiatives.
- When leading a program, uncover learning needs and take responsibility for stakeholder engagement, content development, program implementation, evaluation and budget management.
- Provide guidance to partners and lawyers on legal CPD requirements and compulsory competency areas.
- Contribute to strategic people and business projects, and the continuous improvement of the L&D function.
- Provide valuable insights and practical recommendations to the business to address learning needs and the building of key capabilities.
- Experience in a similar role (preferably in a professional services environment).
- Tertiary qualifications in learning, human resources, or a related business discipline.
- Excellent stakeholder and relationship management skills, with the ability to engage confidently and effectively with stakeholders at all levels to deliver successful outcomes.
- A collaborative mindset, positive approach, and high levels of initiative.
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
- Excellent project management skills.
- A commercial approach, with the ability to understand business priorities and the core capabilities required to achieve them.
