- Engage in a variety of projects - from business transformation, capital and risk management, pricing, and product innovation to liability valuation and appointed actuary work.
- Develop and implement actuarial models and methodologies tailored to client needs.
- Conduct risk assessments and provide strategic advice on risk management and regulatory compliance.
- Mentor and develop junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.
- Analyse and interpret data to uncover critical insights for informed decision-making
- Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory and legislative changes, and actively contribute to business thought leadership.

- Qualifications and Experience: A Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, or a related field. Completed, or progressing towards, a professional actuarial qualification (e.g., FIAA), with 3 to 5 years of professional experience in an actuarial role. Experience with coding, programming, and AI/GenAI is highly valued.
- Skills and Abilities: Proven analytical and problem-solving skills; strong quantitative abilities; proficiency with actuarial software and programming languages such as SAS, R, and Python. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for building and maintaining client relationships, and the ability to present complex information clearly to non-specialists.
- Industry Knowledge: In-depth understanding of general insurance, private health insurance, life insurance, superannuation, and wealth management. Experience in areas like product development and pricing, capital management, risk management, asset and liability valuation, IFRS 17, Prophet modelling, embedded value reporting, unit pricing, and retirement incomes is advantageous.
- Project Management and Leadership: Ability to manage projects, seek new business opportunities, and mentor junior staff. Demonstrates initiative, a can-do attitude, and a willingness to try new approaches.
- Adaptability and Continuous Learning: Comfortable with complexity and flexible in a dynamic, technology-driven environment. Commitment to staying up to date with market trends, legislation, and regulatory changes, and contributing to business thought leadership.
