We are seeking an enthusiastic and proactive Research Project Administrator to support the project and contribute to its success. You will have strong organisational skills and excel at building strong working relationships with a range of stakeholders. Working as part of the project team, you will be the key point of contact for all of the administration needs of the project, whether that be organising team meetings and travel, developing communications campaigns, producing materials for training and other activities, or simply answering queries.This role also uniquely involves spending a small amount of time (up to 10%) on research as part of a Participatory Action Research (PAR) group within the project. This may make the role be of particular interest to early career researchers looking to move into research enabling roles, or a Professional Services colleague looking for some research experience.This post is full time, fixed term until 31.03.2026 and could be available to existing University colleagues as a secondment.You should discuss this with your current manager before submitting your application.The role is hybrid with the option of a flexible working on campus and from home.For more information and discussion, please feel free to contact Katie Gray ( ) or Marta Nogueira ( )Key Accountabilities
- To ensure the effective administration of a wide range of research, learning, development and engagement activities
- To provide focused and confidential support for a range of programmes and activities designed and delivered by the project
- To ensure that all goods and services are ordered according to financial and procurement requirements
- Maintain accurate records of attendance and evaluation of events using the Learning Management System and any associated digital learning platforms, supporting the team to respond to all customer queries, troubleshooting and reporting
- Produce high quality materials for events and activities including workshop handbooks, PowerPoint slides, participants’ information and marketing materials maintaining all accessibility standards
- Co-ordinate and provide support to a range of meetings and committees in relation to the preparation and circulation of agendas and minutes
- Produce accurate, timely reports on research, learning, development and engagement activity as required
- To support a range of multi-channel campaigns and communications to publicise the work of the project and advertise opportunities for colleagues to engage with the various events and activities
- To organise and book travel and accommodation for project stakeholders
- To support the commissioning of external providers for programmes and activities as required
- A flexible attitude to work demands and colleagues and a commitment to providing excellent support
- Good IT skills with experience of Microsoft suite of programmes
- Experience of maintaining webpages and social media accounts
- An excellent communicator both verbally and in writing with the ability to tailor messages to the appropriate audiences
- Ability to use initiative and judgement to resolve problems independently
- Ability to work calmly under pressure and to manage competing deadlines
- Experience of working independently and as part of a team
- Experience of working with a range of stakeholders, including senior managers in a large organisation
