PRIMARY DETAILAnnual base salary from $122,628 to $136,449 (HEW Level 8), plus 17% superannuation and annual leave loading.Full time, Fixed Term 1 Year ContractSupportive, collaborative team with a hybrid working environment based at Macquarie University, Wallumattagal Campus, North RydeAbout the RoleWe’re on the lookout for a Senior Application Specialist (M365) to join our IT Program Delivery team and play a key role in our digital transformation journey.You’ll lead the migration from Gmail to Outlook (M365), working closely with vendors, project teams, and stakeholders to ensure a seamless transition. Beyond migration, you’ll help optimise and secure our Microsoft 365 and Azure environments.You will have expertise in both business processes and technical systems. As a key member of the IT Applications Platform team, you will play a critical role in maintaining and improving M365 and Azure environments, ensuring security, performance, and compliance with government standards. This is your chance to shape a major transformation and make a lasting impact.Key ResponsibilitiesDrive the Gmail → Outlook (M365) migration with vendors and internal teamsManage Microsoft 365, Exchange, Azure, and Entra ID/Active DirectoryEnsure secure, compliant solutions in line with government standardsTroubleshoot and resolve complex M365 and cloud issuesHandle Microsoft Entra ID/Active Directory.Collaborate with cyber assurance to design secure solutions.Configure Azure policies and establish landing zones.Ensure projects are on time, within scope, and meet client expectations.Work with project managers, technical teams, and clients for successful delivery.Manage project scope, timelines, risks, and milestones.Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure operational stability and security compliance.About You/ To ApplyPlease apply online and attach your resume and a separate cover letter that outlines how you meet the following Criteria :Proven experience delivering Microsoft 365 projects and migrationsStrong vendor and stakeholder management skillsHands-on expertise with Azure, M365, and Entra ID/Active DirectoryClear communication and problem-solving skillsExpertise in configuring Azure policies and landing zones.Strong hands-on experience with Azure implementation and maintenance.A keen understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices, with a focus on identifying potential vulnerabilities and implementing robust protective measures.About UsMacquarie is a university engaged with the real and often complex problems and opportunities that define our lives.
