The opportunityAs the WiseTech Global Group is constantly growing and acquiring new businesses, there is a need to strengthen our finance integration processes to support its growth. This includes scaling up the finance team to ensure continuous development and cross-training among the team.As a newly created role within the finance team, you will partner closely with various teams within WTG (M&A, Controllership, FP&A, Transactional accounting, Tax) to execute integration projects across our portfolio of acquisitions.You will be the gateway to the Group for acquired businesses post-acquisition, and as such set the benchmark for ongoing interaction, control, and insight as they adopt WiseTech Global processes, policies, and systems. In addition to obtaining exposure to other businesses' finance systems, controls and processes, this position will also give you access to the key management of businesses located across the globe. There will also be an opportunity to partner with other areas of the business including sales, legal and business operations to further add value to the group.You will need to be able to drive change to ensure WTG accounting policies and procedures are adopted and help create content to ensure that policies and change stick. You will also have the chance to execute and improve the integration process that delivers efficiencies across the group.Sound knowledge of accounting standards, a keen eye for detail as well as a habit of continuous process improvement will be advantageous to you in navigating complex issues as they arise.This is a global role that will provide you with access to key leaders across the finance function which will allow you to make an impact. The role will be based out of Sydney but will be required to work with all our offices including the 55+ acquisitions made since IPO.This is an exciting opportunity for experienced finance professionals looking to grow their skillset and to work in an experienced, dynamic and fast-paced environment.What you'll be doingLead analysis of new businesses' process, and aligning to WTG policies & procedures alongside the Finance Integration ManagerContribute and communicate development of cross-functional finance integration plan for new acquisitionsTake a key role in execution of finance integration plan including:
  • Implementation of Wisetech finance processes and procedures across financial reporting, treasury, forecasting and budgeting and transactional accounting
  • Communicating and managing integration process and progress to senior stakeholders
  • Liaising with cross functional teams and acquired businesses to execute integration plan, ensuring tasks are completed in line with the integration plan
  • Ability to assist in roll out new accounting systems and standardise reporting processes
  • Liaising with cross functional teams and acquired businesses to execute any entity rationalisation and aid statutory reporting
Identifying and working with subject matter experts to solve problems should they arise as every acquisition has its unique challengesLead transition of day-to-day control to other members of the Finance team who will take over ongoing responsibility for monitoring and control of the businesses - including Revenue, Licensing, AR, AP, Treasury, Payroll, Financial Reporting, FP&A and TaxChampion our ability to 'lead with content' by documenting Integration policies and proceduresImproving internally developed integration process and procedures to drive increased efficiency and achieve scalabilityWho you are
  • CA or CPA qualified with a few years post qualification experience in Financial Control, Reporting or FP&A
  • Ability to lead month end close process and ensure smooth cooperation among stakeholders to close in accordance with month end timetable
  • Experience in delivering high quality financial reporting or financial planning and analytics deliverables including some years of transactional processing
  • Highly proficient in IFRS with proven ability to implement new accounting standards and/or generate technical accounting papers. Understanding of Consolidation principles
  • Experience working together with M&A, Financial Reporting and FP&A/Commercial Finance teams
  • Strong core accounting and finance skills/experience and ability to identify risks and present solutions.
  • Strong problem solving skills and willing to 'roll up the sleeves' to dive into issues and help businesses as the need arises and in a timely manner
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Personable and collaborative attitude, you can develop relationships quickly and is confident in dealing with senior levels
  • Excellent time management and project management skills
  • Enjoys working in a fast paced and dynamic environment with challenging deadlines
  • Accounting system implementation and knowledge preferred
