APS6 Corporate Governance and Reporting Officer– | Initial 12-month labour hire contract + 6-month extension option| Sydney basedWe are recruiting on behalf of a small, high-performing government agency that plays a key role in shaping national health and aged care policy through innovative pricing systems. The team is now looking for an APS6 Corporate Governance and Reporting Officer to join their Sydney office.This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working across a broad remit—wearing multiple hats in a collaborative, close-knit team environment. If you have a strong background in compliance, governance and internal policy writing, this is a great opportunity to make a meaningful impact.About the RoleReporting to the Manager, Corporate Governance and Risk you will support the development and delivery of internal frameworks, policies and reporting processes. You’ll also assist with risk management, parliamentary reporting and the provision of high quality governance advice across the agency.Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and update risk management and corporate governance frameworks
  • Review and draft internal policies and procedures
  • Coordinate and prepare ministerial briefs, Senate Estimates materials and Questions on Notice
  • Manage FOI requests and assist with broader regulatory compliance
  • Supervise the APS5 Corporate Services Officer
Ideal Candidate
  • Experience in governance, compliance and reporting in a Commonwealth or state government setting
  • Excellent written communication skills, including policy, briefs and official documents
  • Strong understanding (or the ability to quickly develop one) of relevant legislative frameworks
  • A team player who is proactive, flexible and service-oriented
  • Enjoys working across a variety of functions in a smaller, agile agency
