
Manager Advocacy and Positioning

- Lead development and execution of CA advocacy plans that include key deliverables and issues under management to be shared with Woodside Executives.
- Work closely with Canberra and climate & policy teams to ensure Woodside's public policy priorities are translated into plans to influence and communicate on these issues.
- Develop a strategic approach to Woodside's media engagement that aligns with company priorities and seeks to influence key issues affecting the business.
- Coordinate Woodside's industry association participation and involvement in policy institutes / think tanks, ensuring alignment with evolving business priorities.
- Develop and implement engagement strategies to increase Woodside's external networks in key jurisdictions.
- Lead improvements to internal coordination, influence and leverage of key industry associations.
- Tertiary qualification in political science, journalism, communications commerce, legal or related fields.
- Deep knowledge of International Corporate Affairs practices, standards and thinking. Knowledge of political systems and public policy development, advocacy and media.
- Strong knowledge of stakeholder engagement frameworks.
- Demonstrated experience advising on complex government, communications, brand, reputation and stakeholder engagement issues.
- Strong understanding of stakeholder engagement and reputation issues (local and global) that interface with Woodside's business.
- Proven experience developing business plans and strategies covering government relations, communications and issue management.
- Ability to develop strong relationship with senior internal stakeholders including CEO and ELT.
- Prior experience in a Corporate Affairs and working with the media is essential.
