Our Going Places Program is on the lookout for energetic and compassionate Senior Case Worker to assist individuals facing chronic homelessness or sleeping rough. Bring your Leadership expertise to support staff to effectively manage clients with multiple and complex needs and help guide people towards stable housing and a brighter future. Join us and turn your passion into impactful action!Going Places is a multidisciplinary street to home program which combines clinical health services with coordinated case management to support people sleeping rough in Cairns to move into stable, long-term and sustainable housingKey responsibilities will be to:
  • Provide support to Case Workers and mentors who provide intensive ongoing case
management support to clients * Review client’s progression against support plans and provide support to Case Workers and mentors as required
  • Actively advocate for clients with other services and government agencies
  • Facilitate and contribute to the sharing of Knowledge and best practice idea with other
  • services, agencies and community members
  • Actively engage in encouraging and enhancing the team spirit and contribute to
maintaining a supportive team environment * Maintain program knowledge and a high level of expertise, ensure changes anddevelopments in the community sectorRequirements for Success
  • Ideally qualifications in Community Work, Social Work, Psychology or Behavioural Sciences.
  • Demonstrated experience in a leadership capacity, working within the homelessness sector
  • Demonstrated ability to provide specialised or complex therapeutic interventions and manage a caseload of complex clients
  • The ability to assess risk and detect potential threats so as to resolve issues that may occur with challenging client behaviour.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage time effectively
  • A strong level of computer literacy including proficiency in Microsoft Office packages.
