
Clerical Officer

- Answer telephone enquiries and complaints from the general public and staff professionally and promptly
- Process payments and orders as required
- Perform data entry and word processing tasks accurately and efficiently
- Maintain and update registers, records, and files
- Handle general clerical duties such as filing, photocopying, assembling documents, and document distribution
- Assist with creating reports, composing letters, and preparing Council business papers
- Support internal communications and assist with disseminating information to staff and stakeholders
- Promote a positive image of the organisation in all interactions
- Provide administrative assistance across the City Assets Directorate as needed
- Adhere to all workplace health and safety (WHS) policies and procedures
- Minimum 12 months relevant administrative experience
- Current driver’s licence
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Computer literacy (Microsoft Office and records management systems)
- Demonstrated commitment to customer service
- Flexible and adaptable with working hours
- Understanding of Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) principles
- Familiarity with environmental and WHS responsibilities
