Our client is seeking an Assistant Accountant to support the finance function across several venues. You’ll work closely with the Financial Controller and venue managers to ensure accurate reporting, timely processing, and smooth financial operations. This role offers variety, responsibility, and the chance to be part of a fast-paced industry.Responsibilities
- Process income, accounts payable, and receivables
- Prepare profit & loss and balance sheet reports
- Discuss financial reports with the Financial Controller and venue managers
- Prepare quarterly BAS
- Review and authorise accounts payable payments
- Follow up on outstanding debtors
- Assist with year-end reports and audit preparation
- Support the preparation of annual budgets
- Liaise with managers and other departments to meet deadlines
- Previous experience in an accounting or assistant accountant role
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Proficiency in accounting systems and Microsoft Office
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Works well in a team environment and with multiple stakeholders
