Our client is a well-established and growing organisation with a close-knit & collaborative finance team. They are known for a supportive culture, a stable team and are experts in their field. Their modern office is based in the heart of Melbourne CBD with fantastic city views as well as the flexibility to work from home 2 days a week. They are seeking an experienced Accounts officer with 3+ years of experience in Accounts Payable (a blend of AR experience would be highly regarded) to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis.The Role
Reporting to the Accounts Team Leader, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Processing, verifying, and reconciling high-volume invoices
- Managing Accounts Payable functions including scheduling payment runs and responding to vendor enquiries
- Generating invoices and account statements for clients and projects
- Resolving billing discrepancies and managing collection of overdue accounts
- Assisting with monthly reconciliations and ad hoc financial analysis
- Supporting stakeholders to ensure effective financial management
- Contributing positively to team culture and organisational values
We’re looking for a detail-oriented and proactive finance professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have:
- 3–4 years’ experience in a high-volume AP role (A blend of AR will be highly regarded)
- Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage confidential information and multi-task effectively
- Experience with finance or accounting systems
- A proactive approach to process improvement and automation
- Work with a small, experienced, and supportive finance team
- Hybrid work flexibility (3 days in CBD office / 2 days WFH)
- An established organisation with low team turnover and a collaborative culture
- $80,000+ super
