This is your chance to work at the heart of the Government's Budget and fiscal management processes, delivering critical legislative outcomes, policy advice, and fiscal management decisions.In this role, you will operate in a complex and diverse policy environment, leading projects, conducting in-depth policy analysis, and providing concise, high-quality advice tailored to specific audiences. You will also collaborate with key internal and external stakeholders to support Queensland Treasury's legislation and governance work programs.If you have a passion for financial accountability, governance, and driving meaningful change, this is the role for youIn this role, you will:
- Prepare high-quality reports, submissions, briefing notes, commentary, policy, presentations, documents, publications, and correspondence related to financial accountability, budget, and fiscal-related matters.
- Assist internal and external stakeholders in interpreting and applying whole-of- Government financial management policies and guidance documents.
- Contribute to the development of whole-of-Government policy and guidance material.
- Manage and maintain positive working relationships and partnerships with stakeholders, both internal and external to FSFR.
- Represent the Legislation and Governance team at various internal and external meetings, committees, and other forums as required.
To excel in this role, you will demonstrate:
- Sound experience in the interpretation and application of legislation and government policies.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Effective stakeholder management skills.
- Strong research and critical thinking skills relating to legislation and governance issues, including preparation and analysis of strategic policy advice.
- Effective organisational skills, including the ability to work independently on complex, time-sensitive tasks in a government policy environment.
- Strong judgement, communication, and understanding of perspectives in developing solutions and working with others
