- Install, configure, and test all network related equipment across a multi-vendor environment to ensure a highly available and efficient network.
- Manage network security devices such as Palo Alto firewalls, IDS, SIEM’s etc to maintain a secure network environment.
- Maintain network performance by performing monitoring and analysis, and performance tuning; troubleshooting network problems; escalating problems to vendors.
- Work as part of a team to manage a hybrid Active Directory environment alongside WMware and AWS infrastructure to maintain a highly available environment for business wide operations.
- Promote high standards through team collaboration and peer review.
- Lead and mentor other team members.
- A minimum of five years’ experience as a Network and Systems Administrator with hands on experience in an enterprise environment, and a thorough knowledge of IT and networking concepts.
- Well developed problem solving and prioritisation skills with the ability to analyse issues efficiently to find a solution.
- Strong knowledge of networking concepts such as Multicast, RSTP, Virtual Chassis and fibre optic networks.
- Experience with Juniper, Brocade, Palo Alto, VMWare, Linux and Windows Server management will be highly regarded.
- Experience in leading and motivating team members, and the capacity to transfer skills and knowledge.
- Passionate about technology and networking, and commercial acumen including a sound knowledge of Retail and Finance related Information Technology environments.
