- Full responsibility for budget management, financial processes, forecasting, and reporting across marketing, media, PR, and events teams, working closely with the finance team
- Align and optimise marketing campaign processes, working in partnership with the GM of Marketing to ensure end-to-end workflow efficiency (e.g. creative briefing, production, approvals, and delivery)
- Standardise, document and share best practices, ensuring scalability and consistency across teams
- Responsibility for digital asset management (DAM), ensuring compliance, access control, and effective utilisation across the marketing team
- Lead ad hoc strategic projects that improve marketing effectiveness, efficiency, and scalability
- Drive a data-led, technology-first approach to automation, efficiency, and process innovation
- Drive agency and vendor governance, including contract management, performance measurement, and relationship management for creative, production, and technology partners
- Facilitate clear communication and alignment across internal teams, agencies, and external partners.
- Lead and develop a small team, providing coaching, feedback, and professional growth opportunities
- Champion a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and innovation within the marketing function
- Act as a change leader, helping the team adopt new systems, processes, and ways of working.
- Manage team member life cycle as per Myer processes.
- 8+ years' experience in marketing operations, marketing management, or a related operational role, ideally within a large, complex organisation or retailer
- Proven track record in complex budget management, financial processes, and reporting, with responsibility for large, multi-million-dollar marketing budgets
- Experience in managing advertising subsidy and/or retail media budgets - desirable
- Strong background in marketing process design and governance, with experience in developing and embedding operational frameworks across large teams
- Advanced skills in project management and workflow coordination, with the ability to drive efficiency and alignment across multiple stakeholders
- Technical proficiency in financial systems, workflow/project management tools, and digital asset management platforms. Able to get the best out of technology to drive efficiency
- Experience managing agency and vendor relationships, including contracts, procurement, performance governance, and risk/compliance processes
- Demonstrated experience in people leadership and team management, including coaching, developing capability, and building high-performance teams.
