About the Young Persons Mental Health ServiceYoung Persons Mental Health Services (YPMHS) provides mental health assessment and treatment for young people (aged 18-25 years) and their families. We work with the 18-25 age group in the Southern Region, providing a comprehensive assessment service and a range of treatment options including inpatient treatment in times of crisis, community (outpatient) treatment, group programs, family therapy, and specialist services. We work with families to address a number of complex issues they may be experiencing, including parent/child relationship difficulties, anxiety, depression, trauma related issues, self-harm, suicidal thinking, eating disorders, neuro developmental presentations and psychosis. We also work collaboratively with families, educational settings and other agencies to create identified areas for change and work strongly from a relational and systemic framework. We now have ongoing (permanent), full-time opportunity available to work as a youth mental health clinician in our thriving, engaged Youth Community Mental Health Team, providing mental health assessment, formulation and treatment to complex and acute young people in the South East. With exposure to a multidisciplinary team led by consultant psychiatrists, we provide assessment and treatment for youth and their families in the City of Casey, City of Greater Dandenong, and the Shire of Cardinia.In ReturnOurs is a connected team with strong shared values and an unwavering commitment to excellence.
