Based in Melbourne's north, our client is a leading NFP organisation. Reporting to the GM Finance this role manages a high quality team of three. As a key member of the finance function, you will play an integral part in shaping the strategic direction and performance of the finance function. The key deliverables will include but not be limited to the following:
- Oversee the financial reporting (internal and external), financial accounting, general ledger, accounts receivable, accounts payable, inventory management, prepaid fees, asset register and pricing functions.
- Leadership and direction for the ongoing development of the Transactional and Reporting Team which meet contemporary professional standards and best practice.
- Drive the Transactional and Reporting Team to meet all financial reporting deadlines and requirements.
- Monitor the financial performance and financial health of the organisation.
- Interpret financial information and subsequently provide advice and guidance to leadership on financial performance and plans that promote stability, profitability and growth.
- Promote, build and maintain good communication and working relationships with all internal and external liaisons.
- Deliver divisional and/or organisational projects to support improvements to systems and processes.
The successful candidate will be CA/CPA qualified with in-depth experience working as a Senior Financial Accountant of Finance Manager within a medium to large corporate. It is essential that you have managed staff previously and that you have the ability to work towards deadlines, have experience in preparation and review of statutory accounts and disclosures and outstanding written and verbal communication skills.This is an exceptional opportunity for a dynamic and high caliber candidate to become part of one of Melbourne's largest NFP organisations.Please note - this role is initially starting as a 6 month Fixed Term contract.
