RN - Mackay Base - Medical G2 Ward

Mackay Base Hospital is seeking Registered Nurses to join the Medical G2 Ward, a 28-bed adult medical unit (expandable to 30 beds if required). The unit provides multi-disciplinary care for general medical patients, including those with Oncology, Cardiology, Respiratory, Renal, and Acute General Medicine needs.Mandatory Experience:
- Clinical currency in the practice setting with a minimum of 2 years' experience
- Good computer literacy skills
- Knowledge of ieMR and proficiency in using this system
- Previous experience working in Australia, QLD Health, and/or Mackay HHS
- BLS competency
- Manual and patient handling
- Infection control
- Aggressive behaviour management
- Mandatory reporting for reasonable suspicions of child abuse and neglect
- Medications management including QPHS (Drugs and Poisons) Regulations November 2012
- Ability to complete additional training as required by the HHS, including:
- Integrated electronic medical record training
- Online induction training
- Other HHS-mandated training
