Rooted in principles of compassion, respect, and empowerment, we actively promote inclusion, individuality, and trauma-informed practice in all that we do.The OpportunityWe're seeking a capable and compassionate Case Worker to join our regional support team in a locum capacity. This role offers meaningful engagement with clients impacted by DFV, providing direct support, safety planning, and case coordination within a trauma-informed, strengths-based framework.The position is structured for four working days per week on a hybrid basis (on-site), offering flexibility and autonomy. You'll be part of a collaborative team that values sustainability and peer support.Why This Role ExistsThis locum position has been restructured to better align with the broader organisational vision and improve regional service delivery. It now benefits from an enhanced support network, consistent supervision, and clear lines of communication within a more integrated team structure.Key ResponsibilitiesDeliver immediate crisis intervention for individuals experiencing DFVConduct risk and safety assessments tailored to client needsImplement case management plans that include referrals, advocacy, and coordination of supportsEngage in therapeutic and strengths-based practicesMaintain accurate, confidential client records using a digital case management systemCollaborate with community networks and referral partnersAbout YouTertiary qualifications (or working towards) in Social Work, Psychology, Community Services, however if you have suitable experience we encourage you to still applyDemonstrated experience in family violence, child protection, or related social servicesStrong knowledge of DFV dynamics, legal processes (e.g., safety planning, protective orders), and risk frameworksExcellent communicator with the ability to build trust and rapport quicklySelf-directed, organised, and able to navigate complex client needsProficient with Microsoft Office and client systemsHolds a valid Driver's Licence and Working With Children Check (or willingness to obtain)Highly RegardedExperience in therapeutic or trauma-informed case workApplicants with lived experience are strongly encouraged to applyFamiliarity with structured risk assessment tools (e.g., DVSAT or similar)What We Offer4-day working week (part-time casual)6-month locum with opportunity to create meaningful impactHybrid work modelSupportive team culture grounded in reflective practiceRegular supervision and access to wellbeing support (EAP)Independence in your role with a strong backing of peer supportOur ValuesWe believe in social justice, equity, and authentic care.
