The Patient Services Clerk is accountable for providing clerical support and facilitating patient management within Clinical Neurosciences. The PSC will be involved in booking appointments, reception duties, delivering customer service of a high standard and providing high level administration assistance to the Neurosciences Consulting Rooms.This position will include a wide range of duties:Handling medical records and patient information, high level administration, dealing with telephone enquiries, filling of medical records, making appointments and liaising with patients, doctors, nurses and other members of the multidisciplinary team.Greeting all patients in a polite and efficient manner, collecting referral letters and test results and ensuring these are available for doctors when they see the patient.Ensuring efficient and accurate data entry of patient details into PAS. Confirming all appointments by telephone for new patients prior to their appointment.Setting up of clinics for the following day as required.Classifications for this position will range from S2 – HS21Your ContributionMinimum of Year 12 HSC / VCE or equivalentMinimum 2 years’ experience as a PSC or equivalent in a health service.Ability to work in a fast-paced departmentDemonstrated high level communication skills, written and verbalAbility to work in a multidisciplinary team and ability to work independentlyCurrent National criminal history check, or willing to obtainWhat we Offer
