For Purpose Aged Care presents an exciting opportunity to shape the service delivery of Aged Care into the future during a period of significant change.A friendly, focused and driven team, we look to bring on staff with the right attitudes and values to provide the best CARE for our residents:CollaborationAccountabilityRespectEmpathyAbout the Role:We are looking for an experienced Maintenance Officer to assist in maintaining the building and grounds of this brand new, state of the art building to a high standard, having regard for the comfort and wellbeing of residents and advising on replacement or repairs as required.Skills and Requirements for this Role:

Experience in building maintenance and gardening, landscaping
Knowledge of Aged Care industry is desirable
Thorough understanding of all legislative requirements pertaining to maintenance and repairs i.e. OH&S & Fire/Evacuation
Ability to perform a wide variety of tasks including use of tools and equipment
Willingness to be contribute to after-hours maintenance requirements from time to time
Excellent communication skills and respect for residents and colleagues
Previous experience working autonomously with limited direction
Be able to make decisions about costs and priorities and documenting a full plan for work to be completed
Supervise and monitor grounds and systems
Contribute to the support of aged care residents by providing quality service as required, and with respect to dignity and privacy.

Essential:

Victorian drivers license
Reliable, strong work ethic
Valid police check, less than 12 months old

Preferred:

Trade Qualification e.g. Landscaping or OHS Qualification is advantageous
