Possession of a relevant tertiary qualification and/or MCIPS (Member Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply) equivalent.
Extensive experience in procurement of goods, services and works and the application of procurement policies and procedures.
Very good knowledge and understanding of trends, developments and benchmarks affecting the procurement and contracting environment.
Strategic leadership skills to inspire and influence, leverage expertise and resources to achieve quality outcomes.
Highly developed leadership and management skills with a focus on providing sound strategic direction and support to achieve outcomes.
High-level written and verbal communications and experience in negotiation, with the ability to effectively communicate at the most senior levels in the private and public sectors.
