About the role:Reporting to the Drill and Blast Supervisor, the scope of your role as a Bench Hand will be to assist the shotfirer in daily loading activities including assisting with measuring and setting out of blast positions. Our is an open-cut mine located 48 kilometres northeast of Mudgee producing a high quality thermal coal for export and domestic markets.Duties will include:

Loading, priming and firing of blast holes

Maintenance and adherence of safe loading practices

identifying and rectifying hazards

locating, priming & wiring blast holes in accordance with the agreed design testing & firing pattern
Ensuring correct demarcation and communication is used during loading & firing

2+ years' experience working a shot-firing crew
Proactive in setting and maintaining a high safety standard;
Police Clearance Check
Driver's License
