Every person, from the extensive range of disciplines, plays an important role in helping the organisation realise its vision to become a world leading zoo-based conservation organisation.The Visitor Engagement Cultural Liaison Officer reports to the Visitor Engagement Coordinator which forms part of the wider Visitor Experience, responsible for the development and daily operations of a conservation-based visitor experience at Werribee Open Range Zoo.The Cultural Liaison Officer will help us to grow opportunities and foster external relationships with people from various cultural backgrounds, specifically First Peoples culture in the first instance. These strong relationships will allow us to engage visitors in First Peoples culture as well as conservation onsite through a range of Face-to-Face (F2F) experiences. This position recognises the importance of F2F engagement in innovating, changing and growing our visitor experience offer, which sets us up as a new and emerging leader in creating connections between people, culture and wildlife.The Visitor Engagement Cultural Liaison Officer is responsible for developing and delivering authentic, cultural and conservation-based visitor experiences across scheduled site specific activations.
