Job Description:Baba Shrichand 3 Pty Ltd is currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chef for Indian Curry Hutt Restaurant, a busy restaurant, located in Logan Village, Qld. They will be responsible for creating and preparing high-quality dishes, overseeing the kitchen operations, and managing a team of kitchen staff. The successful candidate will also have a strong understanding of food safety and sanitation guidelines, as well as the ability to create and maintain a positive and efficient work environment.Key Responsibilities:- Create and prepare high-quality dishes according to the restaurant's menu and standards- Oversee and manage kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and plating.- Train and supervise kitchen staff, ensuring they adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines- Monitor inventory and order supplies as needed- Maintain a clean and organised kitchen area- Collaborate with restaurant management to develop new menu items and specials- Ensure all dishes are prepared and presented in a timely manner- Adhere to all health and safety regulations- Maintain a positive and professional attitude at all times- Continuously strive to improve and innovate in the kitchenQualifications:- Minimum of 1 year experience as a Chef in a high-volume restaurant- Certificate IV in Culinary/commercial cookery or above- Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation guidelines- Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment- Excellent communication and leadership skills- Creative and innovative mindset- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends- Australian working rightsWe offer a competitive salary of $75,000 to $80,000 plus superannuation for this full-time position.
