- Acts on own initiative on assigned subcontracts of increasing value and complexity
- Gathers and compiles support data for the preparation of documents and the management of subcontracts
- Assists Subcontract Manager or more senior Subcontract Professional in completion of the various tasks required by the Contract/Subcontract Management Guidebook, Standard Work Process Procedures, and automated subcontract management systems
- Organizes materials for the preparation of meetings, presentations, and training sessions, and prepares periodic status reports
- Develops and issues subcontracts and services agreements as assigned
- Prepares bidders’ lists and pre-qualifies bidders
- Forms bid request packages and issues bid request packages to approved bidders
- Coordinates bidders’ questions and answers to those questions
- Receives bids and evaluates bids commercially
- Prepares Commercial Bid Summary and recommendations
- Recommends and secures approvals in accordance with established procedures
- Prepares subcontract documents for execution
- Prepares and organizes assigned meetings, such as pre-bid, bid clarification and pre-award meetings, for the purpose of ensuring complete understanding and agreement between Bechtel, the customer and contractor on all contractual matters
- After reviewing plan and agenda with supervisor, conducts meeting and prepares and issues meeting notes delineating important statements, required actions and schedules
- Assists project ream when instructed in solving and attending to problems on commitments involving high monetary expenditure or risk, engineered technical specifications or supplementary commercial conditions
- Experience in engaging with internal stakeholder to managing pre award and post award activities including prequalification, tender, award, contract administration, changes and payment assessments of small orders.
- Demonstrated skills in working and communicating effectively with other projects and functional groups.
