- Primary point of contact for thoroughbred owners and breeders ensuring prompt and professional responses to all enquiries and requests.
- Provide VIP customer service for owners and breeders, facilitating requests seamlessly.
- Develop and sustain relationships with owners and breeders to promote ongoing engagement with the Club.
- Offer tailored support to syndicate managers and ownership groups to help coordinate their race day participation and enhance their experiences.
- Be the key contact at official trials, jump outs and gallops for owners and breeders.
- Manage direct communication to owners with a horse competing at Caulfield, Sandown and Mornington race meetings in relation to race day privileges (admission, members ticketing, hospitality and mounting yard access) and additional requests.
- Primary point of contact for owner and breeder stakeholder groups including Thoroughbred Breeders Victoria, Thoroughbred Racehorse Owners Association and interstate and international owner and breeder associations.
- Attend all MRC race days to oversee owner privileges and owners areas including mounting yard, winning owners room and dedicated owners areas. Liaise with owners on race day, build relationships and action feedback received with the racing team.
- Represent the Club at relevant industry events, bloodstock auctions, stallion parades and trainer/syndicator open days as a visible and approachable ambassador for ownership engagement.
- Work in partnership with the MRC’s Marketing and Business Development teams to provide opportunities for owners and breeders to deepen their relationship with MRC.
- Strong understanding of the thoroughbred racing industry, including owner, breeder, and syndicator engagement (or the ability to rapidly acquire this knowledge)
- Demonstrated experience in stakeholder engagement, client services, or relationship management, ideally within the racing, sporting, hospitality, or events sectors.
- Knowledge of the racing industry and an understanding of owner and breeder dynamics.
- Previous experience in an event, hospitality, or membership-focused role.
- Familiarity with Racing Victoria regulations and race day operations.
- Experience in stakeholder management, client relations, or a similar customer-focused role.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and maintain relationships.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced event environment.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and race days.
